Organized each year by the Washington State Horticultural Association the Annual Golf Tournament is held in August. All proceeds from the tournament support scholarships that are awarded to students in honor of past tree fruit industry leaders. Scholarships are awarded in memory of Gerald Nolan, Melvin Crowder, Jim Matson and Delmar Smith.
Over the past sixteen years, the tournament has raised more than $118,319 for student scholarships. The 17th Annual Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament will be held August 3, 2010 in sunny Lake Chelan at Lake Chelan Municipal Golf Course.
